Travel with Dad
My mom apologizes for not keeping up the blog. As you know I am unable to type myself since I don't know how to write yet. We've been very busy - so let's catch up. First of all, I was able to travel a little with my Dad this fall while he went recruiting. We went to Boston and Philadelphia. Here I am in Philadelphia and on the train ride home - traveling my own unique way.

Middleburg, Virginia
I just came back from visiting Crednal (my Great Aunt Anna's and Great Uncle Stanley's house in Middleburg, Virginia). We had a wonderful time, and I can't wait to go back. Michelle and Clark (my Mom's cousins) were there too, and I think I am winning Michelle over - sorry Clark, but all is fair in Love and War. Here is me and Dad in the pool!

I love soccer!
Fourteen Months old now, and I love to kick a soccer ball or any ball for that matter. I love to throw the garden mirror ball down the front steps and into the street and see if someone will catch me before I run after it. Good Times! I went to Toronto last month to see my Mom's cousin get married, and I saw my cousins, Aidan & Claire, and my Grandma too. I saw my Aunt Deb, Uncle Tom and Aunt Edna and Grandpa Bob, and a lot of relatives of my Mom's who I am related too, but it takes too long to explain. I hope to see them all again soon - maybe August at Crednal - that's a house in Virginia that has a name. I want to name my house Orlando's House. In July I am going to Maine, and to Stowe, VT (to see my Uncle Bill) and maybe even Fire Island. Just as long as Mom and Dad bring my soccer ball along - and my cars, dump truck, fire truck and all my books - I'm there!

Walking
Yeah! It is true. I'm walking. There's no stopping me now! Here is a picture of me walking down the hallway of the New School for Drama where Dad works. As you can see, I am happy about it. I love to walk everywhere. Sometimes I like to take someone with me by tugging their finger and chattering as we walk. I love to talk. Hopefully soon, Mom or Dad will get what I am saying.

The Big Snow
Last month we had a big snow storm. I really like the snow, and this was the first real snow of my life. Here I am helping my Dad and Godfather, Casey, clear the snow from the driveway. Here I am in my sled that me good friends the Friedmans (Barb, Brian, Julia & Dan) gave me for Christmas. We were all beginning to think I would never get a chance to get in it. It was great. Mom dragged me, pushed me and pulled me all over. I had a blast!

Teeth

So finally I am getting those teeth everyone keeps talking about. My two front top teeth are coming in. Still none on the bottom. To make the experience even more memoriable I got a very high fever, an ear infection, the stomach flu and now that all of that is subsiding and I am still on anitbiotics, it looks like I may also be getting a cold. So forgive my Mom for not having any recent postings. Despite it all, as you can see by this picture taken yesterday that I still know how to smile for the camera. By the way...I was ten months old on February 19th.

My First Halloween

My first Halloween! I was Tigger from Winnie the Pooh. On the Sunday before Halloween, Mom and Dad took me to the Athens Fire House for pumpkin carving followed by a parade down to the waterfront. As you can see from the pictures we had a great time. On Halloween itself Mom took me to the Coxsackie library party where I chased around a pumpkin ball as big as me. Yes I chased it with Mom holding my hands. Mom keeps saying I'm not really ready to walk yet, but I'm doing it anyway.

Doctor's Visit

Here I am at Six Months and still have food on my face. Eating is a full body experience! My doctor says I am doing great. I'm 17lbs 7.5oz, 27 inches long and my head is 43.5 inches. So I am 50% for my weight and head & still 75% for my height. I sit up pretty well, but I'm not ready to crawl yet - and keep on eating to my delight. My eyes are still blue, but a little green may creep in there. We'll wait and see. I don't go back until January - and no more shots for a while.
O at A Chorus Line Opening

Sorry that the other pictures didn't get posted...Mom'll keep trying. In the meantime - here is a picture sent to us that was taken of me at the opening night party. I had a great time...Dad enjoyed himself too to everyone's surprise. Mom says it is because he got to see the original cast members. This is me with Don Percassi (the original Alan DeLuca). Something about Italians with big noses I find fascinating.
